Everything is connected: what does entanglement have to do with a good presentation?

Abstract golden illustration representing interconnected ideas in presentations.

For a long time, I thought some of my interests were light-years apart. On one side, quantum physics: fascinating, mysterious and capable of challenging every certainty. On the other hand, presentations: visual and emotional experiences, are designed to connect the speaker and audience through images, words, and intuition.

Two seemingly opposite worlds.

And yet, just like quantum physics teaches us, everything is interconnected. The more I dive into both, the more I realise that presentations have a lot to learn from physics. Especially from one concept that has always fascinated me: entanglement.

What is entanglement (and what does it have to do with us)?

In quantum physics, entanglement describes an invisible bond between two particles: even if they are light-years apart, what happens to one instantly affects the other. Isn't that incredible?

And in presentations? Something surprisingly similar happens.

When we tell a story correctly and design a powerful visual narrative, we create invisible connections. Between ideas. Between the speaker and the audience. Between what is said and what is felt.

3 quantum-inspired insights for more human presentations

💫 Emotional resonance. Like in entanglement, you don’t have to explain everything: if you create emotional resonance, the audience will understand even what’s left unsaid. Use pauses, evocative images, and metaphors. Leave room for intuition.

💫 Narrative structure as a quantum field. Stories aren’t linear. Like quantum particles, they exist in multiple states until they collapse into a precise point. A good narrative holds space for possibilities and then brings them together into a clear message.

💫 Instant connection. Before it reaches the brain, a powerful presentation reaches the body. Colour, rhythm, tone of voice, movement: these are the invisible particles that build connection.

Entanglement reminds us that we are all, in some way, connected. And great presentations do the same: they don’t just inform, they intertwine. They don’t simply deliver content; they create relationships.

And you? When you present, what invisible connections are you activating?
